Our Founder’s parents landed on the tarmac at JFK with a few tattered suitcases and the American dream. After a few years of finding their footing, they purchased a grocery store in Brooklyn and with it, inherited the stewardship of a vibrant corner of New York City. One day, they received a phone call from a developer who had just purchased the building. They lost the business in a matter of weeks.
Hard-working Americans and their families are being displaced from the neighborhoods they’ve built faster than ever before. We’re building withco to not only ensure other families avoid the same fate, but also to create a new way of doing business that rightfully values and shares in the real contribution local business owners bring to their neighborhoods. We want to make it exciting to be a small business owner again.
